About

Esmat Zeerak is an Afghan figurative oil painter based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. His work explores displacement, memory, resilience, and the human figure.

He began painting after graduating from St. John’s College in Santa Fe. Alongside his painting practice, he has maintained a daily practice of contemplative drawing.
